Thousands mourn Khamenei’s killing in central Iran’s Yasuj city
A video clip posted by Iran’s Tasnim news agency showed thousands of people joining the start of the mourning period in honour of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
The video showed people beating their heads and chests, a practice for mourners in Iran.
Similar scenes were also reported in the province of Lorestan, according to the Tehran Times newspaper.
